“Common Sense Parenting” is designed to help parents develop effective discipline skills and to remain positive with their children.  Topics discussed include child development, reasonable expectations, nurturance, consequences, giving reasons, effective praise, social skills, preventive teaching, time-outs, corrective teaching, staying calm, teaching self-control, parenting plans and family traditions.  A “Common Sense Parenting” class for parents of toddlers is also available.
