Dress in your costume for this unique Trick or Treat experience! You’ll meet many of the critters who live in the Forest, and a few who are just visiting, as you stroll the boardwalk for all of your treats.
New this year is our partnership with Ballet Nebraska, appearing as our animals, and Strategic Air and Space Museum, who will entertain us with an amazing science show. There will be food, a hay maze, games, prizes, treats, and entertainment! This is one event you will not want to miss!
Come early to enjoy the food and then get involved with the fun and games after or explore the games first and eat afterwards. Make your costume out of recycled materials and be entered to win a prize!
Tours leave about every 15 minutes, rain or shine. Dress for the weather. Plan to spend about 2 hours total at the event.
Registration is required. The cost is $7 for each adult and $7 for each child (ages 2+). Children under 2 are free. The cost includes food, trick or treat bag, games, prizes, & fun. Members must log-in to register. You may be asked to show your membership card upon arrival. There are no refunds for this event.

Can’t wait for Halloween? Healthy Trick-or-Treat Nights are the perfect way to try out the costumes before the big night and to enjoy a safe and healthy trick-or-treating experience! Bring your little ghouls and goblins to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium® for Spooktacular presented by Hy-Vee. Join in the fun on October 18, 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2013 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Purchase tickets in advance for $7 per person for Omaha's Zoo and Aquarium members or $8 per person for non-members online or at Guest Services. Children 2 and under are free.
When the sun goes down, what happens at the Zoo? Visit the Lied Jungle® to see the free flying bats or stop by Kingdoms of the Night® to see the nocturnal animals during their daylight cycle. The evening includes admission to Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium afterhours, trick or treating and fun activities like Boo Bowling or Penguin-Pickin-Apples. Get up close and personal with different Animal Ambassadors, special animals used for educating visitors.

Spend an evening at Papillion-LaVista South High School for some Halloween fun! Families are invited to a Safe Night and Fall Festival full of games and activities for all ages. This event will include a costume contest, games, prizes, bounce house and activities for all ages. There will be refreshments, lots of candy and more! Join in on the Halloween Fun at the Westroads Mall Spooktacular Trick-or-Treat Event! Westroads Mall will give away Free Trick-or-Treat bags* filled with candy and terrific retailer offers. The bags will also be seeded randomly with special treats from some of our retailers.
The line for the bags will form at the Food Court entrance on the lower level. *While supplies last. Children will then be allowed to trick-or-treat inside the mall at the various participating retailers.

Boo at the Zoo - Trick-Or-Treat Event at the Lincoln Children's Zoo, October 26th - 30th
Boo at the Zoo is Lincoln's largest trick-or-treat event. The entire family will love stopping at over 40 trick-or-treat booths to get candy, coupons, and more. All of the money raised during Boo at the Zoo directly supports the Zoo. Raising Cane's will be selling chicken finger meals with the proceeds going to the Zoo.

Admission tickets are required for anyone over the age of 2. Trick-or-Treat bags are required to collect candy and must be purchased from the Zoo for $3.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Zoo or online. Raising Cane's meals will be available for purchase the night of the event (cash only) or in advance online using a credit card. Tickets are also available each night of Boo at the Zoo.
The advance ticket line is typically shorter than the other lines. Advance tickets will be mailed when order is placed. Please note a $2 mailing charge will be added to each online order.

Books Are Treats Event at the Old Market on October 27th (Free)
Metropolitan Community College and the office of Service-Learning, the Old Market Business Association and Metro transit are collaborating for an “all treats and no tricks” Halloween book give-away event on Oct. 27, 1-4 p.m. at the Old Market in front of Spaghetti Works, 11th and Howard streets.
The Books are Treats event will bring books via a Metro bus to the Old Market Trick or Treat event. The public is invited to browse the books in a library-like setting on a Metro bus and take home up to three books for free—including fiction and nonfiction books. Books are available for all ages and reading levels.

Scare yourself silly at Lauritzen Gardens! Come to the garden in costume for our annual Ghoulish Garden Adventure. Explore the visitor and education center and the garden, and enjoy trick or treating at eleven different activity stations throughout the garden. Learn about pumpkins, spiders and other creepy crawlies, and make a few ghoulish crafts to take home.
Activities will be indoors and outdoors. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is FREE with paid garden admission or membership. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 and free for members and children under six.

The Omaha Storm Chasers are hosting a free community night event. Baseballoween will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at Werner Park from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Bring the family out for an evening of safe family fun before Halloween. Have your children’s picture taken with Stormy, Casey and Vortex along with trick-or-treating around Werner Park. “Bring your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews for a fun filled night,” said Andrea Stava, Assistant General Manager of Operations. “Be sure to dress up in your favorite Halloween costume as we will be having a costume contest for not only children but for adults and pets as well.” All night long children will be able to participate in the scavenger hunt, musical chairs, piñata bash, balloon art and trick-or-treating. The costume contest will start at 6:00p.m. for children, adults and pets. Food and drinks specials will also be available all night. La Vista Halloween Safe Night on October 31st (Free)
La Vista's annual Halloween Safe Night event will take place on Thursday, October 31, in the Community Center gym, 8116 Park View Boulevard. This annual tradition brings hundreds of residents together to celebrate this fall holiday in safe environment.
We'll have a family-friendly spook tent, trick-or-treating, free hot dogs from the La Vista Fire Department, and even an old, spooky movie!
Businesses and organizations are invited to host a trick-or-treating table, which only requires the candy and decorations you wish to use. Otherwise, there is no cost to participate!
