Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG) and UNO Faculty Jazz Combo
Release date: 1981
Run time: 115 minutes
Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is no ordinary archeologist. When we first see him, he is somewhere in the Peruvian jungle, running a booby-trapped gauntlet to fetch a solid-gold idol. After a clever escape, he is asked to find the long-lost Ark of the Covenant. But to find the Ark, Indy must first secure a medallion kept under the protection of his old friend Abner Ravenwood. Despite personal differences, Indy is joined by Marion, Ravenwood’s daughter, in one action-packed adventure. A joint project of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, Raiders of the Lost Ark is not so much a movie as a 115-minute thrill ride.
Get ready to travel the globe with Indy by listening to an exciting mix of "America's Music" from the UNO Faculty Jazz Combo. The combo's repertoire is a blend of jazz standards sprinkled with Latin styles, funk and vocals.
