Hi, has anyone been or heard about the Sweet and Sassy Salon for kids? I'm thinking of taking my daughter there for her birthday. Just thought I'd check into it before I make the commitment. Thanks

I've never been to the actual salon. I do not live in the Omaha area. Sweet and Sassy was a sponsor at the American Girl Fashion Show we attended on Saturday. They did dolls hair and updo's on the girls. The representatives in the booth at the show were patient and answered endless questions. They handled the children and dolls well. Our girls were oohing and ahhing over the idea of a party. I think a party at their salon would be fun.

Hi, Jacki.

If you are interested in the Sweet & Sassy parties, you might also be interested in the parties offered by Family Fun Cutz, which we just added to our site. You can check out their information at www.familyfuncutz.com (http://www.familyfuncutz.com). Also, I don't know how old your daughter is, but if she's younger, she might be interested in the parties at Clara's Closet, and, if she's older, she might be interested in a party that's offered by Whole Foods Market where the girls make and use their own spa products.

Thanks so much for the comments. My daughter is turning 5, and She wanted a "girls day" for her birthday. So I invited her 2 grandma's and we took her to Sweet and Sassy. WOW!! It was so much fun. The salon was awsome, everything a little girl loves, they have it. They have many different packages you can choose from, ranging from around $25 and up. She did the "Glittery Glam X-press". She got her hair styled, nails, and make-up done for $25. She was loving every minute of it. She was the only appointment at the time, so she got a lot of one-on-one attention. She walked the cat-walk when she was finished, and I got some adorable pics! The best part was we all made memories, I know she will talk about her day for a long time! I highly recommend this, check out their web site sweetandsassy.com. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks again!!

I'll bet her grandmothers loved it, too. What kind of packages do they have?

Oh yes, the grandma's had a blast! The package that is 24.95, is called the Glittery Glam x-press, she gets an up-do, nails, and make-up. It was perfect for my girl, they put glitter and confetti in her hair and made it smell like cotton candy. For $39.95 you get an up-do, a mini mani, and mini pedi, it is called Party Princess, they give them toe rings too. For $49.95- haircut, shampoo, full style, mani and pedi, it's called Pampered princess. Diva for a day is $69.95 you get haircut, shampoo, full style, mani, pedi, mini-facial, and makep.
This is just the begining. They also have party packages, starting at $199.95. Usually you have to have a certain number of guests, like this one is called All dressed up, it's $199.95 and you need 8 guests. Thats only $19.95 each. They get make-overs, and they have beautiful dress up clothes, they get to strut down the catwalk. The parties go all the way up to $279. They also do sleepovers at the spa!
One more thing, they have a bright pink stretch lime, they will pick up the girls, take them to the spa, and take them back home. I took my daughters pictures by it when we left.

Jacki,

That's sound fun -- I'm glad you all had such a great time! Thanks for posting your opinion -- it really helps other moms make decisions when they have access to this type of information. Reading your description made me have one of those moments when I wish I had a girl, too! Oh, well. I'll just have to wait until the next time my niece comes for a visit and then see if her parents will let me take her there. I can't wait!
