Has anyone read or is currently reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle? Oprah keeps talking about it and is holding an online class featuring the book. I haven't been able to find it at the bookstores so it must be a hot find. I am just curious of your thoughts.

Hi, momof2boys.

If it's any help, I've seen the book in Target, Walmart, Shopko, and even some grocery stores. It's a smaller book, and I'm thinking it's kind of a light peach or gold color, so it doesn't necessarily stand out, and you might have to ask a salesperson to help you find it. I would offer to lend it to you if I had it, but I read the book while sitting in a bookstore, so I never actually purchased it. My husband always asks me if I feel guilty when I do this, but considering the thousands of dollars I have spent on books, magazines, mochas, cookies, etc., my response would be a very definitive, "NO!"

I read it when it first came out. I enjoyed it, and it gave me a lot of insight into how I lead my daily life and what I need to work on changing, both for my own good and the good of my family. The problem I have, though, is that whenever I read a self-help or inspirational book, I get all fired up at first, and I try to put everything into action right away, but then as I get busy or stressed, what I learned kind of gets pushed aside or mostly forgotten. I keep trying, though, and I hope that the most important points stay with me.

I've also read another book by Tolle called "The Power of Now," which I recommend highly.

Hi, again, momof2boys.

I just wanted to let you know that I was in Target today (the one on 132nd and West Maple), and they have many copies of the book.
