Whenever we go to a Sunday or holiday brunch, we always go to Grisanti's. It's very good, and we all enjoy ourselves, but we are always looking to try something new. I think I heard that Granite City Brewery offers Sunday brunch, but I don't know anyone who's tried it yet. Where do you like to go for Sunday brunch?

I love Mimi's out at Village Point. I also like Market Bsket on 87 th and Pacific (in the little shoppping strip there)
Also, Wheatfields!!! Yummy!!! They're all great!
Now I'm hungry...

I would not recommend The Market Basket - years ago my Mom was stung by a wasp INSIDE the restaurant and they handled it very poorly.
I have heard good things about Camille's cafe at 168th and West Center. In the same area, the Upstream also has a Sunday brunch.
Now that I think of it, Le Peep has a location over there as well and they only serve breakfast/lunch/brunch.
Happy brunching!

Ahh--can't beat Wheatfield's for brunch or any meal! An awesome brunch buffet is at Upstream (only West O has it, not Old Market location)--kind of expensive but so worth it. One other idea is the restaurant at Mahoney State Park--a good meal with a great view. A place we heard had a good brunch was Prestige World Class on 168th and Pacific--however, we were not impressed--not child-friendly, horrible service, and so-so food. Happy eating!

How could I forget Mahoney? Good food (a buffet) and a wonderful view. They also have a fireplace for the cold winter months. Very kid-friendly. After you partake of the buffet, you can drive around and visit the conservatory (greenhouse-type thing w/indoor waterfall) or do a craft in the activity center.
You do have to pay a park entry fee, but it is totally worth it.
I am going to have to give Wheatfields a try, I have heard a lot of good things about it.

I didn't know Mahoney State Park had a brunch. That's sounds good.

I like that the Prestige site shows their menu online. It looks expensive for a family to go to, though for a date night maybe not so bad. Do you know what their pricing is like for brunch? Is it a place to bring kids, too?

We went to Prestige with our two kids (ages 4 and 7) because we were told how fabulous this place was. It was a gorgeous day so we decided to sit in their outside area overlooking the golf course. They had not wiped any tables off and there were puddles of water everywhere--we had to move tables twice so we could even put our feet down--and the staff seemed very put off by our even asking to move. My biggest frustration was that they did not have a separate children's menu so we had to figure out what our kids could eat--we settled on giving them parts of our meals and side orders--and once again, the staff seemed annoyed with our requests to do this. Okay, so be it--but what made it worse was that because we brought kids, we were treated like we were from another planet--completely ignored. We had horrible service and our food was served cold. Plus, I thought the menu for brunch was small and unimpressive.
We have since been for dinner--a much better experience but still not the place everyone makes it out to be.
