Thanks for posting! So many moms out there are looking for ways to meet other moms, and I appreciate your willingness to extend an invitation to them to join your group!

I hope you won't mind if I personally take you up on your invitation. We moved to Bennington a few months ago, and I'm assuming Bennington would be be included in Northwest Omaha. Because we moved and because my son started kindergarten, we lost some of our old connections. I would love to meet some other moms who want to hang out and do fun summertime activities with their kids. I will be getting in touch with you soon.

I am a 39 yr old sahm of 4. My kids are preteens and teens. Are there groups for moms like me who want to meet others but their kids are too old for "playgroups"?

As far as I'm concerned, moms should have their own playgroups that are just for them, just like I've always thought that McDonald's should offer Happy Meals for moms with food and prizes that we would appreciate. You might want to check out www.meetup.com (http://www.meetup.com). You can search the Omaha Metro area for groups that share your interests. They also give you information on how to start your own meetup group. Also, you can check our listing of support groups for moms under the "Just for Moms" category of our website. This information may lead you to something you'd enjoy.
