Spring Semester of Parenting U
Begins March 1


Omaha, Neb. – Children’s Hospital & Medical Center is kicking off its spring semester of Parenting U. The series of free, weekly educational seminars connects parents with experts on hot topics in pediatric health care.


The 2011 session opens on Tuesday, March 1 with “Preparing for Your Newborn,” focused on what happens after birth, baby’s first weeks at home, breastfeeding, sleeping and other common questions asked by expectant parents. Other topics this spring include “Surviving the Trying Twos,” “Mastering Potty Training,” and “Everyday Discipline for Toddlers.”


Each seminar is led by an expert in the field of pediatrics. Parents are encouraged to be active participants, sharing experiences and asking questions.
Parenting U runs from 6 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in March and April. All sessions are free of charge and will be located in the Glow Auditorium at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, 8200 Dodge St. in Omaha. A light supper is provided.
