Visited the terrific Lincoln Chidlren's Museum the other day and saw that they have a "Toddler Playtime" starting in January. Toddlers ages 1-3 and their parents can meet new friends and play games. There are 2 Thursday sessions for kids 2-3 starting Jan 10th and running thru Feb 28th. Friday sessions are Jan 11 to Feb 22 and are for kids ages 1 -2. Here is more information:

Thanks for this posting, kgreen.
I remember when my son was a baby and I didn't know any other moms with babies, so I would take him down to the Omaha Children's Museum and wander around with him even though there wasn't a lot he could do there at his age. If I were to be totally honest, I'd have to say that at the time, it was more for me than for him. I think I needed a way to get out of the house. It would have been so great if I could have found an organized play time like the one you're describing. Thanks again for sending us this information. This is exactly the kind of thing we like to hear about at MomsofOmaha.com.

If Omaha Chidlren's Musueum gets to feeling old because you've been there, it sounds like Lincoln has some great places to go too.

I just checked their website. They're having a New Year's Eve celebration, too. Maybe this should be added to the home page of Momsofomaha?
