Pirate Cove
Review by Rhonda Dunaway
Are you and your kids bored visiting the same old swimming pool? Give Pirate Cove in Council Bluffs a try. Pirate Cove is a water park specifically designed for kids, although the parents I know enjoy it just as much. The park features slides (including a pirate ship slide for very young children), kid-activated sprays, fountains, floating toys, a large sand play area, concessions, and tables with sun umbrellas. Friends and I recently took a group of kids ranging in ages 4 to 11 to Pirate Cove, and they happily spent the entire afternoon playing in the water and sand. For more information, including days and hours of operation and admission, visit http://www.cbparksandrec.org/aquatics.asp?page=2 (http://www.cbparksandrec.org/aquatics.asp?page=2) or call Pirate Cove at 322-9559.
