New Outdoor Ice Rink at ConAgra HQ

ConAgra has set up an outdoor ice rink at 10th & Harney. Admission is $5 per person, which includes skate rental, and proceeds go to the Nebraska Food Bank Network. Starts Saturday, Dec. 1 and runs through Dec. 16th. Hours are 10 am to 10 pm Sun-Thurs and 10 to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

i went by this rink last night when we looked at the mall lights. It looks really good and I think today is the firt day it will be open. The city is looking good for the holidays, isn't it?

I think I'll have to give this rink a try with my 6-year-old son. I've always tried not to push him too hard. But I know he wants to skate, and I know that he can do it. So, if anyone sees a frazzled-looking redhead, yelling, "Use your muscles! Move your legs! Don't just make me pull you around! I'm almost 50! Are you trying to kill me!" at an angelic-looking little boy, that'll be me.

I went by conagra today in the afternoon. There must have been a dozen people skating there. It looks great. They play Christmas music and I hear that they have lots of lights at night. Downtown is looking really neat.
