Can someone send me a private message to recommend a good auto mechanic in Omaha? I used to go to a dealer, but their prices were too high and I always suspected they did work that didn't need to be done. Any suggestions?
Hi Veronica,
Corky's Import Auto on 72nd is honest and inexpensive. I'm still kicking myself for all the money I probably wasted taking my car to a dealer. I once asked a tire/auto repair place to look at an oil leak for me. They said it would cost $1,600 to fix. I took it to Corky's and it was less than $60, if I remember right. They're good people to work with.

This is a really good place. My mom had an indicator light com eon the other day and needed a car place to look it over. She's very short on cash and said the dealer she usually went to would charge her $100 just for a look. I told her I saw Corkys recommended on this site. She loved the place. They not only looked it over, but fixed what was wrong for all of $20! She felt great and sort of bad at the same time. Great that she saved a lot but bad that she must've wasted a lot of money over the years going somewhere else.

If you have a Honda, I HIGHLY recommend Exclusive Honda on Leavenworth. Great service, good prices -- and trustworthy.
