I'm having relatives come to stay for the holidays. I plan to do some cooking o course, but I dont want to stay in the kitchen all the time. I'm thinking a good buffet wold be an answer at least one time since evryone seems o like something different. What's a good place to go that would work for kids between 5 and 10 and that's not real expensive?

Valentino's is good and very reasonable.

I second Valentino's. My whole family loves this place--from kids to grandparents. You need to go to either the one on 102nd and Maple or 108th and Q. The one on 132nd is fine but not nearly as big as the other two.

My parents love Old Country Buffet--maybe because they get in cheaper. Another very popular place is China One--on108th between Q & L. You might also try a Sunday brunch buffet. Two good ones are Grisanti's on 114th and Dodge and Grandmother's on 84th and L.

I know it's not easy to please everyone. Good Luck!

I'm also voting for Valentino's buffet. Great selection, something for everyone, and very reasonably priced. They also have coupons for the buffet, usually $1 off per adult for lunch or $2 off per adult for dinner (just ask the cashier for coupons when you walk in if you need them).

If you like chinese, China Buffet is excellent, also very reasonable, and has two locations out in NW Omaha (114th & Dodge Sts, and 148th & Maple Sts). Again, they have a huge selection, Mongolian Grill, and I'm pretty sure they have soft-serve ice cream too! (gotta keep the kiddies happy:) )

If you're looking to splurge a bit on a very nice Sunday Brunch buffet I would highly recommend Granite City Food & Brewery at Westroads. I love Granite City (their meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes is to die for!), and their Sunday Brunch has lots to choose from. Here's some info on it:
