My grandkids are after me to take them to a game arcade. All I can think of is Chuckie's but the noise there drives me nuts! Can any of you girls tell me a good place to go for kids between 5 and 10?

Hi Linda,
I know what you mean about the noise level at arcades...gives me a headache!
There's a list of various arcade/amusement centers right here on this site. Here's a link to it:

I would also like to mention Bene Pizza & Pasta. It's out near 123rd & Maple Streets, and they have a "Retro Arcade" room that my niece really enjoys. The arcade room is in a separate room from the main dining area. Here's a link to their site:

Oh Velveetah, your a doll! Thank you for the suggestion. Next time the grankids come over I'll try the Bene. They said their friends like Amazing Pizza but it looks expensive unless there's a coupon or something.

I thought I'd give you an update. The granadkids and I just tried the Bene pizza and Pasta Retro Arcade on Maple street. It was a little more quiet than some arcades since the games are in a small room in back. But I have tos say that the pizza was not something I want to try again.
I ordered the Mediterranean pizza and got a cheese pizza for the kids. Mine was not good but my five-year old grandson was really put off by the cheese pizza, which was black on the top from being overdone. He said "Why do they m,ake the pizza so you don't like it?" After I tried his, i thought he asked a good question. They had ballots or something at thecounter to have people vote them one fo the Best of OMaha. I didn't take one. I think I'll stick with Valentinos for pizza and maybe go to the arcade at Westroads with earplugs.

Hi Linda,
Oh no, I'm sorry that Bene wasn't a good experience for you. I've only been there a couple of times myself, and I've only had the pizza once. My pizza was okay, but it wasn't overdone (or I would've definitely sent it back because I can't stand overdone pizza). I agree that their pizza isn't the best (I love Valentinos too, but my real fave is Big Fred's:D ), but the main reason we go there is because my niece loves their retro arcade. I did try Bene's meatball sub one time, and that was very good.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions?
