I saw The Jane Austen Book Club yesterday, and it was totally bland, unaffecting, and unremarkable. The acting was merely okay, and the plot was a complete snooze. I was expecting to love the movie because I'm a huge Jane Austen fan and have been since college. However, I was completely disappointed. Bottom line: Wait for the movie to come to cable. I wouldn't even bother getting it from the video store.
