I posted this on the K-mart coupon thread as well. I felt I should update it here.

Ok- the moment we've all been waiting for! I got a call back from the K-Mart District manager. He admitted that the store dropped the ball and should have accepted the coupon that I had from K-Mart on line. He said there has been some confusion about on-line coupons, and they are not really willing to accept manufacturer coupons that have been printed on line because they are easy to forge. However he said in the event that there is ever a question about a coupon at the checkout to always ask to speak to the store manager.
He apologized for my inconvenience, and in the hopes of having me return to K-Mart, he took my home address and said he will send me a $25 K-Mart gift card. He also asked me to keep his number, and to call him if I ever have an unpleasant shopping experience again.
I'm satisfied with this result, and will continue to be a K-Mart shopper (when I need to go there, or have a coupon!!)
