View Full Version : The Worst Literary Experience I've Ever Had

Until a couple of weeks ago, I thought that the worst children's books I had ever read were the Power Rangers books. All the characters seem to do is shout out strange Celtic-sounding curses at one another and fight. My husband hates the Power Rangers so much he won't even read the books to our son anymore. I read them only once in awhile and very reluctantly at that. As I said, we were completely convinced that nothing could be worse, until I babysat the daughters of one of my friends and was requested to read . . . . . . . .. . Care Bears books!!!! I was soooo wrong. There is something far far worse than Power Rangers: Friendship Bear, Share Bear, and whatever the rest of their names are. What is it about them that made me want to reach into the pages of the story, grab them, and rip their stuffing out? This was definitely the worst literary experience of my life. But on the bright side, I probably won't hate reading Power Rangers books quite so much in the future.

I haven't had to read the Care Bears but I know Power Rangers are awful. What in the world is the story line in one of their books. Just ask a kid what the story is about and see if you can get any answer.
