For all of you who love Asian food - one of our new favorite restaurants is Wave Bistro. It is on 144th and Maple on the Home Depot corner. It has "Asian Fusion" style food--Asian with a fun twist. We have been a few times and always start with their lettuce wraps--the best I've had in Omaha. A newer place definitely worth a try!

I was wondering about that place. Thanks for the advice, I think I will try them out this weekend. What other entrees have you had? Would kids like their food?

We did not bring our kids so I'm not sure if they even had children's choices. If your kids like Chinese food, I'm sure they'd have something for them--my kids don't so we didn't even attempt to bring them. I had a pecan-crusted salmon which was awesome. My husband had some spicy steak dish--he loved it but I think it would have been too spicy for me. Thier prices are a little higher than we normally spend, but we had a coupon from those Valpak coupons so the final bill wasn't bad.

Hi, Mom AC.

Thanks for your recommendation on Wave Bistro. My husband and I decided to try it over the weekend, and we really enjoyed it! I had Thai pineapple and chicken fried rice, and my husband had some kind of Japanese noodle dish (that I won't even try to spell) with chicken and vegetables. We both liked our entrees very much. I also liked the Asian rolls with almond butter that they served at the beginning of the meal. Also, we tend to frequent restaurants that don't have a lot of ambience, so we really enjoyed Wave Bistro's atmosphere - kind of cool and modern, but really relaxed. It was a good place to relax and unwind after a stressful week. The service was great, too.
