I took my son to the Omaha Children's Museum last week. We haven't been there in over a year, and I have to say, I was fairly impressed with the overhaul. We stayed for almost three hours, and if it was up to my son, we would have stayed longer. He loved the water table, fire engine, playhouses, and grocery store. He also spent quite a bit of time at the Gravitron, which has been expanded to include a lot more interactive play features. His favorite part of the visit, though, was meeting a museum employee in the art area who could draw cartoon characters and who could also do dead-on voice imitations of Chewbaca from Star Wars and Jigglypuff from Pokemon. If you haven't been to OCM in awhile, I recommend that you stop by and check it out!

I agree! It is so much better than it used to be. My kids love the art/crafts area, the climbing "house" by the water table, and mostly the ball drop with the siren. If you read for the summer reading program at the public libraries, there was a coupon to get in free in September or October.
