As one of the owners of Premier Gymnastics and a parent of 3, I am wondering how the economy is affecting your decisions to sign up your children in activities this summer. With gas prices rising to rediculous prices and the cost of groceries increasing as well, are these conditions creating extra stress when planning?
When looking for activities what things do you consider:
Location?
One Stop Shopping? (especially if you have multiple children)
How long the activity takes?
Anything else?I must say, I have noticed enrollment is down for our summer program and I am just not sure why.
Any thoughts?

As a parent of a Premier student I can tell you that we are not taking summer session because of the new "week long class" format. As a working parent it is just not convienent to be running to class every night for a week. I prefer the once a week class schedule. We will be back in the fall when class gets back to normal! :)

Thank you for you comment. We have heard this from a couple other people and will definitely take this into consideration for next year.
It was our hope that this new format would help in terms of scheduling. Our thought process was we wanted to give people the benefit to craming 5 classes which would normally take 5 weeks into 1 short week. Thus freeing up the other 4 weeks for other plannned activities. Our other thought was this format would allow families to try other programs in our facility they may have only thought about.
Again, I do appreciate your opinion and do hope you to see you back at Premier soon.
Thank you.

I agree with Mom2LA. We are also taking a break from gymnastics for the summer due to the new week-long system. This is our first break in five years so it will be a little strange. We do plan to return in the fall. We still love Premier!!
One change you have made that we think is terrific is adding open gym on Saturdays. Fabulous idea! We are able to go more often on Saturdays than Fridays so the kids are very excited.
